Our Programs and Initiatives
- Kathak Dance Classes: At Kalangan Foundation, we offer comprehensive Kathak dance classes taught by highly skilled and experienced instructors. Kathak is one of the eight major classical dance forms of India, known for its intricate footwork, expressive gestures, and rhythmic patterns. Through our dance classes, we aim to nurture a love for this captivating art form, while also imparting technical expertise and a deep understanding of its cultural significance.
- Tabla Classes: Tabla, a pair of hand drums, is an integral part of Indian classical music. We provide tabla classes where students can learn the fundamentals of this percussive instrument. Our dedicated instructors guide students through the various techniques, rhythms, and compositions, helping them develop their skills and appreciate the intricate beauty of tabla playing.
- Vocal Classes: The power of Indian classical music lies in its soul-stirring melodies and intricate vocal techniques. At Kalangan Foundation, we offer vocal classes to help students explore and develop their singing abilities. From the basics of voice modulation and pitch control to the nuances of Indian classical ragas, our vocal classes provide a holistic learning experience for aspiring singers.
Community Engagement and Outreach
In addition to our classes, Kalangan Foundation actively engages with the community to promote awareness and appreciation for Indian art and culture. We organize workshops, performances, and cultural events to showcase the talents of our students and professional artists. These events serve as platforms for cultural exchange and provide opportunities for artists to connect with a wider audience.
